GeoQuest is proud to be a Zambian company and has regularly participated in community development projects. Some examples include:

Zambian Rugby

As part of its policy to support the community, GeoQuest Limited has previously sponsored the Zambia ‘B’ (known as ‘Lechwe’) team who regularly take part in the Castle International Rugby Sevens Tournament, held in Lusaka every year. This sponsorship involved providing the team with brand new rugby kit and off-field attire.

GeoQuest Limited has also facilitated and paid the air freight costs for the donation of second hand rugby kit and equipment to the Zambia Rugby Football Union from the Northampton Rugby Club / Northampton West Rotary Club in England.

The HEAL project in Lusaka is a community based project aimed at supporting and educating people (mainly orphaned children) living with HIV / Aids.

GeoQuest has actively supported the project over the past ten years through various donations and fund raising events.

This has included:

  • Donations of school desks, chairs and tables as well as writing materials, books and a computer.
  • A cash donation for the building of a new toilet / ablution block.
  • Regular donations of food and supplies.
  • Facilitation of a donation from the Northampton West Rotary Club to build a new canteen and kitchen facility.

The Caledonian Society

GeoQuest supports the Lusaka and District Caledonian Society’s charitable fundraising event – The Lusaka Highland Games – each year. This includes sponsoring an event and entering one or two teams.  We’ve even been known to win!
